Former Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has spoken about his desire to return to coaching following his dismissal as Ghana’s national team boss in March 2026.
Speaking to German outlet 11 Freunde, Addo said he remains passionate about coaching despite the setback.
The former Borussia Dortmund assistant was relieved of his duties after Ghana suffered four consecutive friendly defeats to South Korea, Japan, Germany, and Austria, despite leading the Black Stars to qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Reflecting on the period immediately after his dismissal, Addo revealed that his desire to coach remains strong and that he hopes to return to the dugout in the future.
“I am at a certain age now [that] I do believe that I want to continue as a coach or assistant coach.

“[Being an] Assistant coach will also bring me a lot of joy and of course in certain areas I would like to naturally like to prove myself as a coach” Otto Addo said.
