Black Queens midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe says the team is ready to handle the pressure as they head into a decisive Group D clash against Mali at the 2026 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday, August 6. (Scroll down to watch video.)

The Black Queens need at least a draw to secure a top-two finish and automatic qualification to the knockout stage, while a win would also guarantee progression.

Ghana and Mali are level on three points, but the Black Queens have the superior goal difference. Ghana goes into the match after a 1-0 defeat to Cameroon, but 32-year-old Jennifer Cudjoe is confident the team can deliver the result they need.

“I am looking forward to the next game. I am ready and I think everybody is ready…we just have to show up and do what we have to do. Pressure is a privilege.”

“We’ve been in this place before so I don’t think there’s a lot of pressure but we know what we have to do and we are going to show up on Thursday and give everything we’ve got” Cudjoe said.
