Barcelona have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign Spanish midfielder Rodri in a deal worth up to €70 million.
Revealed by Transfer Expert, Fabrizio Romano, the agreement consists of a €60 million guaranteed fee plus €10 million in performance-related add-ons, bringing an end to weeks of negotiations between the two clubs.
The 30-year-old is set to sign a four-year contract with Barcelona that will keep him at Camp Nou until June 2030.
Rodri had already agreed personal terms with the Catalan club and reportedly made his desire to return to Spain clear to Manchester City.
Barcelona initially saw bids of €50 million and €60 million rejected by City, who valued their midfielder closer to €80 million.

The deal was eventually made possible after Barcelona agreed to sell Ferran Torres to Paris Saint-Germain for €50 million, freeing up funds and salary space for the Rodri transfer.
Rodri leaves Manchester City after establishing himself as one of the world’s leading midfielders. He played a key role in the club’s success in recent seasons and was recognised as one of the standout players at the 2026 World Cup.
The Spain international is expected to travel to Barcelona in the coming days to complete his medical before signing his contract.
He will then link up with Hansi Flick and his new Barcelona teammates as the Catalan club prepare for the new La Liga season.
