Cape Verde goalkeeper Josimar José Évora “Vozinha” Dias has officially joined Chilean top-flight club Colo Colo, receiving a rousing welcome from supporters after delays following the announcement of his transfer last month. (Scroll down to watch the video.)
The 40-year-old arrives from Portuguese second division side Chaves, where he spent the past two seasons. Colo Colo signed Vozinha after his standout performances for Cape Verde at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Blue Sharks enjoyed an impressive debut campaign, reaching the Round of 32 before losing 3-2 to Argentina after extra time.
Vozinha played a pivotal role in Cape Verde’s remarkable World Cup run, producing a series of crucial saves that helped the Blue Sharks reach the Round of 32 on their tournament debut.

His performances earned him a place in FIFA’s Team of the Tournament.

On his arrival in Chile, several fans of Colo Colo gathered at the airport to receive him.
