Manchester United will take on big opponents in the group phase of the UEFA Champions League in the club’s return to the continental competition.
This comes on the back of the draw for the group phase of this season’s campaign that paired the three time winners with elite opponents.
Man United are scheduled to take on German side Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig, Italian side AS Roma and Como alongside Spain’s Atletico Madrid and Villarreal and Portugal’s Sporting Lisbon in the group phase.
Michael Carrick’s side will host Champions League debutants FC Sabah who qualified after recording a 6-4 aggregate win over Israel’s Hapoel Beer-Sheva.
For fellow EPL side Aston Villa, Unai Emery’s side have been handed an equally tough group phase campaign as the club has been drawn against reigning UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain.
Beyond PSG-who won the title in 2025 and 2026- Villa are set to play against FC Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Club Brugge, Fenerbache, Galatasaray, Slavia Prague and Viking of Norway.
