Golden State Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy has stated that star player Steph Curry wants to finish his career with the team.
Curry has played for the Warriors since being drafted seventh overall in the 2009 NBA Draft and is set to play out the final year of his contract in the upcoming campaign.
The 17-year NBA veteran guard will receive $62.5 million in the 2026-2027 season. Still, the Warriors’ chances of making a title run are very low, leading many to believe that Curry could leave the team, but Dunleavy was adamant this wasn’t the case.
“There’s two things I’m confident about with Steph. He really, really wants to win and he wants to finish his career as a Warrior. Those things are going to be consistent.”
“(Staying has) always been the message. That’s always been what he’s discussed. I think that’s tracking quite well” Dunleavy said to reporters in an address.
