President for the Miami Heat, Pat Riley, says the two time NBA franchise is blessed that Klay Thompson joined the team.
He said this in his address after Klay Thompson signed a two year deal with the Miami Heat that was worth $13 million with the second year of the deal being a player option.
Thompson joined the Heat as a free agent after clearing waivers following his release from the Dallas Mavericks; Thompson became famous during his run with the Golden State Warriors where he formed a formidable partnership with Steph Curry and Draymond Green that led to four NBA title wins.
36 year old Klay Thompson is the latest signing for the Heat after Miami traded for Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis from the Milwaukee Bucks and signed shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jnr.
“A four-time battle tested World Champion who will fit perfectly into his role as an all-around player at both ends of the court.”
“We all talk about his shooting skill, but there is so much more he brings to the game. We are blessed that Klay chose the Heat in our quest to challenge for championships” Riley said.
