Osasuna defender Rockson Yeboah has received his maiden senior call-up to the Black Stars ahead of Ghana’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The 22-year-old centre-back is among the nine players added to Carlos Queiroz’s squad following medical concerns over some of the initially selected players.
Yeboah has made three La Liga appearances for Osasuna this season, starting two and playing 210 minutes. He joined the Spanish club from Swedish side IFK Göteborg in August after making 44 senior appearances and scoring twice.
Yeboah has made an encouraging start in Spain. In his first La Liga start against Espanyol, he completed 59 of 65 passes and won six of eight duels, including both aerial duels.
He will now join the Black Stars for Ghana’s 2027 AFCON qualifiers against Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia, as well as the international friendly against Morocco in October. The call-up gives Yeboah his first opportunity to represent Ghana at senior level.
