Five players have withdrawn from Thomas Tuchel’s England squad ahead of the team’s upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures.
The Football Association confirmed that Cole Palmer,
will miss the international window because of various injury concerns and load-management issues.
Palmer has withdrawn with a minor muscular injury, while Rice is also unavailable because of an unspecified injury and load management.
Rashford has been ruled out with an ongoing hip problem, while Manchester United team-mate Mainoo has also withdrawn because of an injury issue.
Livramento, meanwhile, picked up discomfort during a training session with Newcastle United.
The withdrawals leave England with a depleted squad ahead of their upcoming fixtures against Spain, the Czech Republic and Croatia.
Tuchel has responded by calling up Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest and Everton midfielder James Garner as replacements.
Both players have joined the remaining England squad at St George’s Park as preparations continue for the Nations League fixtures.
England will now have to manage their squad carefully as Tuchel prepares his team for four matches during the extended international window.
