The Miners secured their first top-flight win of the season with an impressive 3-1 victory over Vision FC at the Len Clay Stadium.
David Gyamfi was the star of the afternoon, scoring a spectacular hat-trick to hand AshantiGold all three points and make a strong statement on their return to the Premier League.

Swedru All Blacks also faced a tough test against fellow debutants Debibi United, but it was All Blacks who claimed the points with a narrow 1-0 victory.
John Josiah Andoh scored the decisive goal in the 41st minute as Debibi United suffered their first defeat of the campaign.

The third promoted side, Medeama SC, did not feature on Matchday 2 after their fixture against Port City FC was postponed due to scheduling conflicts.
After two rounds of matches, the newly promoted clubs have therefore recorded contrasting fortunes, with AshantiGold leading the way with a win, while Swedru All Blacks also have three points and Debibi United are still searching for their first victory.
