Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko says he is focused on recovering from his shin injury and returning to action as soon as possible.
Sesko has been managing the injury since the start of the 2026/27 season but has still made six appearances in all competitions, scoring twice.
The Slovenia international missed United’s 1-1 draw with Fulham before the international break and subsequently withdrew from Slovenia’s UEFA Nations League matches against Scotland, North Macedonia and Switzerland.
Confirming his withdrawal on Instagram, Sesko said he was fully focused on his recovery and getting back on the pitch.
“I am very sorry that I will have to miss the next matches of the national team. The most important thing now is to fully dedicate myself to recovery.”
“I am already working on getting back on the field as soon as possible and helping the national team and the club again. I believe in our boys, and I am sure that they will show the team spirit that has always adorned us this time” he said.
