Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry says he will make a decision on the status of his contract with the team when he is ready.
He added that he doesn’t want the contract negotiations with the team to come with any drama while speaking in an interview with ESPN.
Curry enters the 2026-2027 season on a one year deal that pays him $62.6 million, but the four time NBA champion became eligible to sign a two year, $136.7 million contract extension with the Golden State Warriors on August 29.
“I don’t want there to be no drama. No talking points. This team should be competitive and go win. It’s going to happen at the right time, once I have all the information I need to make the decision that is right.”
“The team’s been great having that conversation back and forth. If I don’t sign, it won’t affect me in terms of my play or carrying that weight but I’ll make the decision when I’m ready” Curry said.
