Ghana’s Black Princesses have been knocked out of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat to France.
The Black Princesses needed a win or draw in their final Group C game to secure qualification but were comfortably beaten by France, who advanced to the next round.
All four goals came in the second half, with France opening the scoring in the 54th minute before adding three more, including a penalty.
The defeat marks another disappointing group-stage exit for Ghana. The Black Princesses have now failed to progress beyond the preliminary stage despite making a record eight consecutive appearances at the tournament.
France’s victory secured their place in the knockout stage, while Ghana’s campaign ended at the group stage.

Ghana ended the 2026 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup bottom of Group C standings with three points via its 3-1 win over South Korea. Ghana lost 3-0 to Ecuador in its opening game.
