Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has described his team’s performance against Fulham as poor after the Reds were held to a goalless draw at Anfield.

Liverpool struggled to break down Fulham and failed to make it three consecutive wins in all competitions after previous victories over Ipswich Town in the Premier League and Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

The result also ended Fulham’s losing start to the season, with the London side picking up their first point after defeats in their opening three matches.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Alisson admitted Liverpool’s performance was below the required standard, saying,

“It was a poor performance, sometimes from myself, and collectively we didn’t play well. Many things we tried to do we could not do it.”

“We could not press them well in the first half, we spent too much energy trying to press them.

“We are not happy at all with the draw. It is not something that should happen with Liverpool. To be unbeaten, but with three draws, is not something to celebrate too much with this shirt.”
