Manchester City midfielder Elliot Anderson described his team’s performance against Brighton and Hove Albion in an English Premier League clash on Saturday, October 31 as “not good enough”.
He said this in an interview with Sky Sports after Manchester City lost 1-0 to Brighton which marked the second league loss in a row for Enzo Maresca’s team that started the 2026-2027 season with seven straight wins.
Earlier this week, Man City drew 2-2 with Brighton but ended up clinching a 5-4 win in a penalty shootout in the Carabao Cup.
However, Yasin Ayari’s goal in the 11th minute got Brighton their revenge win and Anderson stated he was disappointed with the game’s outcome.
“We created a lot of chances. Disappointing to lose. Didn’t manage to put chances away, on another day we put three or four away, We have to bounce back for the Champions League game in a couple of days.”

“We’re all disappointed. Not good enough, we don’t want to be losing games but we’ve got to stick together. We’ve had a great start to the season, two disappointing results now but we have to stick together” he said.
