Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola says his side must be at their best to beat Manchester City in Sunday’s English Premier League clash at Anfield.
The Reds host the league leaders on October 11, with both teams unbeaten after five matches. Manchester City have won all five of their games, while Liverpool have recorded two wins and three draws, including a 1-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth.
Iraola, who previously managed Bournemouth, says Liverpool will need to produce their best performance to end City’s perfect start and claim all three points.
“We’ve been unbeaten but they’ve won all of them, so it makes a big difference in their side.”

“I think we need to be very, very good if we want to beat City because they’ve been especially offensively scoring a lot of goals lately.”

“We know the names that are very dangerous. But I think also we’ve shown good defensive improvements lately and I hope we can defend the threats that they have and also hurt them on the other side.”
