They may be fierce rivals on the pitch but Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have great respect for each other.

Hearts of Oak tweeted their best wishes to Kotoko back in August as the Kumasi club celebrated its 85th anniversary, with a pretty friendly message.

In their tweet, Hearts spoke of their desire to see both clubs push each other to greater heights for the benefit of the game in Ghana.

“On the occasion of your 85th celebrations, the management of Hearts of Oak sends you a congratulatory message.

“As the two most glamorous clubs in Ghana, it is our wish that we will leverage on our support base to continue to set the pace and make our game better.”
