Hasaacas Ladies midfielder, Azumah Bugre says the team is not deterred by the superior physical stature of their first opponents Malabo Kings of Equatorial Guinea, at the CAF Women’s Champions League.

The competition which kicks off today will see hosts Wadi Degla of Egypt take on AS Mande of Mali before Malabo Kings of Equatorial Guinea take on Hasaacas Ladies at the 30 June Stadium.

Despite the intimidating physique of Malabo Kings, Azumah Bugre believes the team has good strategy to handle their opponents and is confident Hasaacas Ladies can win the game.

Malabo Kings of Equatorial Guinea

“No we are not scared because we know Ghanaians are short and smallish in nature, but we are not intimidated by that.

“Since they are huge, their force of gravity will be low so we will take advantage of that.”

Hasaacas Ladies will take on Malabo Kings at 5pm GMT.
