Black Stars forward Emmanuel Gyasi has registered his first goal of the 2022-2023 season in Spezia’s 2-2 draw with Atalanta in the Serie A.
Gyasi scored in the eighth minute as Spezia stormed to a 2-0 goal lead in the first half but surrendered the lead after conceding goals in the 77th and 92nd minute respectively.
The 28 year old played out the entire duration of the game and ran into the penalty box to meet strike partner M’bala Nzola’s cross for the game’s opening goal. (Click highlighted text to watch goal)
Prior to today’s contest, Gyasi had just an assist against Como in the Italian Cup to his name this season but managed to break his scoring duck for the season with a simple finish.
Gyasi was in line to feature in Ghana’s 2022 FIFA World Cup squad but wasn’t called up to the Black Stars team that crashed out at the group stage in Qatar.
In 14 league games, Gyasi has been played as a second striker six times, center forward on two occasions and as a left winger and right winger.
