Ghana’s Thomas Partey is likely to be available for selection for Arsenal’s game against Leicester City in the upcoming round of games in the English Premier League.

League leader Arsenal takes on 14th ranked Leicester on Saturday, February 25 at 15:00 GMT with the latter riding a two game winning streak in what has been a challenging season thus far for The Foxes.

Partey missed Arsenal’s 4-2 win over Aston Villa and a 1-3 loss to Manchester City due to a thigh problem in the Gunners 1-1 draw with Brentford.

Speaking at the pre-game conference, Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta indicated the Black Stars midfielder’s availability for the game rides on how he fares during training later today.

“He hasn’t trained much but it looks like he could be available. Let’s see how he trains today. He’s a really important player for us that we missed in the last few games” Arteta said.

In his third season since joining the Gunners from Atletico Madrid, Partey has enjoyed a brilliant campaign with the North London club.
