Eight foreign-based players have been invited to the Ghana men’s under-23 team, the Black Meteors, for the upcoming CAF Under-23 AFCON qualifiers against Algeria.

The group is headlined by Daniel Afriyie Barnieh of FC Zurich and Fatawu Issahaku of Sporting Lisbon and FC Nordsjaelland striker Ernest Nuamah.

Former Berekum Chelsea player, Emmanuel Essiam (FC Basel) and Emmanuel Yeboah of CFR Cluj were also handed invites.

The first of the two-legged tie comes off on Friday, March 24 at the Baba Yara Stadium with the return match scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 28.
