Legon Cities have introduced Paa Kwesi Fabin as their new Head Coach, ahead of the start of the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League season.

The former Black Starlets trainer has signed a two-year deal with the team.

Fabin, who led Aduana FC to a second-place finish last season, left the club at the end of the season.

At his unveiling on Tuesday, August 8th, he stated:

“After my work with Aduana, I wanted to take a break from football for a while, especially in the Premier League.

However, when Legon Cities contacted me and shared their project, I felt compelled to step in, take over, and guide the team to the level they aspire to reach.

I’m thrilled to be here and ready to face this challenge.”

In the previous season, Legon Cities secured a 9th-place finish under Maxwell Konadu, who has since joined Nsoatreman FC.

The Royals are optimistic that Fabin’s local expertise will yield positive results in the upcoming season and lead the team to a respectable position.

“I believe that there’s no such thing as a low-pressure job in this world. Pressure exists everywhere, but I particularly enjoy working with young players.

This is the objective the team has given me – to bring in a lot of young talents and transform the team into not only buyers but also sellers of players.

Our aim is to perform well in the league and secure a strong position. While we’re comfortable where we are, we’re open to embracing any opportunities that come our way.”

Paa Kwesi Fabin’s inaugural official match with Legon Cities will take place in September against Karela United on matchday one of the 2023/24 league season.
