Ghana forward Ernest Nuamah isn’t fazed by the change in Olympique Lyon’s head coaching role in the wake of Fabio Grosso being named as head coach of the seven time French Ligue 1 winners.

Nuamah said this according to Ligue 1’s official media as Lyon’s poor start to the 2023-2024 season continues; Lyon lost 0-1 to Brest.

Former Italy international Grosso replaced fellow FIFA World Cup winner Laurent Blanc last week after the latter was sacked from his role as head coach of Lyon.

Responding to the change, Nuamah stated, “I’m used to changes in coaches. OL is going through difficult times. My role is to give everything to help change the situation. Coach Fabio Grosso wants a collective game, to build a group.

He wants us to play well together. He emphasized forward runs and never being static. He explained his style of play to us.”

Nuamah made his second start for Lyon since his move from FC Nordsjaelland via a loan deal from RWD Molenbeek. He was subbed off in the 58th minute with Mama Balde replacing him.

Lyon is still without a win this season and ranks 17th in the 18 team league standings.
