A quartet of players missed the first Black Stars training session as Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team prepares to compete at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire.

The Black Stars are camping in Kumasi after dropping the decision to camp in South Africa and held its first training session at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex at Abrankese on Tuesday, January 2. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Ghana is preparing to play against Namibia in a friendly game before moving to Cote D’Ivoire to play against Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique at the AFCON group stage.

However, four players, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Richard Ofori and Inaki Williams didn’t participate in the training session.

Kudus and Williams missed out due to a slight injury and illness respectively but Williams has recovered and will join the camp on Thursday, January 4. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

However, the reason behind Jordan Ayew and Richard Ofori’s absence is yet to be confirmed. Goalkeeper trainer Richard Kingston was captured working out with Joseph Wollacott and Lawrence Ati-Zigi.
