With three games left to play to close out the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season for Berekum Chelsea and Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, Kotoko’s Steven Mukwala and Chelsea’s Stephen Amankona are in a fierce battle for the league’s top scorer award.

Amankona leads the race with 15 goals in 27 league appearances after bagging a brace in Berekum Chelsea’s 3-2 loss to Accra Great Olympics in the last round of games.

Mukwala on the hand, saw his brace lead Kotoko to a 2-0 win over archrival Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Uganda striker Mukwala’s caught the eye with his second goal after brilliantly cutting the ball on to his right foot after picking up a pass from Enock Morrison on the counter attack. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Mukwala proceeded to shift the ball a bit more infield before unleashing a brilliant strike to the left bottom side of Hearts keeper Kwesi Nketia’s post.
