Over 30,000 people showed up at the National Stadium in Botswana to welcome 2024 Olympic Games 200 Men’s Metre Gold medal winner Letsile Tebogo and members of Botswana’s 4×400 Men’s Relay Team.

The Men’s 4×400 Relay Team, anchored by Tebogo, won silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics behind the United States of America to headline Botswana’s brilliant campaign at the Games.

The Southern Africa nation’s run in the third Paris Games is its most successful campaign with Botswana winning its first ever gold medal through Tebogo.

21 year old Tebogo won this year’s Olympics Men’s 200 Metres in a time of 19.46 seconds ahead of Kenneth Bednarek and Noah Lyles both from the United States of America.

Lyles, who won the Men’s 100 Metres Finals ahead of Tebogo who finished sixth, stated that he had been diagnosed with COVID-19. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
