Gambian journalist Amadou Tamba has stated his expectations for Gambian star winger Yankuba Minteh as the young speedster prepares to compete in his debut season in the English Premier League.

Minteh joined Brighton and Hove Albion from Dutch side Feyenoord despite being on the books of fellow EPL side Newcastle United this offseason.

In a related move, Ghana’s Ibrahim Osman has transferred from Brighton to Feyenoord in a loan move set to expire after the 2024-2025 season. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

While speaking in an exclusive chat with ChannelOne Sports, Tamba spoke extensively about Minteh’s qualities and added his expectations.

“Looking at Brighton, we expect him to have a very good performance anytime he plays and try to replicate that into the senior national team. What I would describe as a successful season for Minteh is for him to have playing time at Brighton and help Brighton reach their target in the Premier League.”
