Juventus FC have officially announced the departure of Thiago Motta as head coach of the Men’s First Team. In a brief statement on Sunday, the club confirmed that Motta and his technical staff have been relieved of their duties with immediate effect.

Juventus FC announce that Thiago Motta has been relieved of his duties as Men’s First Team coach. The club would like to thank Thiago Motta and all of his staff for their professionalism and for the work they have carried out in recent months with passion and dedication. We wish them the best of luck for the future.

Motta, who took charge of Juventus ahead of the 2024/25 season after a highly rated spell at Bologna, was seen as part of a new era for the Turin giants. While his time in charge was brief, he introduced a more progressive, possession-based playing style and helped integrate several promising young players into the senior squad.

However, inconsistent results and early exits from domestic and European competitions ultimately led to the club seeking a new direction

In his place, Igor Tudor has been appointed as the new head coach of the Juventus Men’s First Team. The Croatian will begin his duties with his first training session scheduled for Monday, March 24.

Tudor, a former Juventus defender and fan favorite during his playing days (1998–2007), returns to Turin with solid coaching experience.

He previously managed clubs such as Hellas Verona, where he earned praise for his high-intensity tactical system and helped the club secure a top-half finish in Serie A during the 2021/22 season. He also had stints as an assistant at Olympique de Marseille and head coach roles at Galatasaray and Hajduk Split.

His familiarity with the club culture and his recent coaching track record made him a natural candidate for the role as Juventus look to stabilize their season and build for the future.

More updates on Tudor’s contract details and his backroom staff are expected in the coming days.
