Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has described Ghana’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier as a “small final” in the lead up to the game.

The matchup against Madagascar is the second of two World Cup qualifiers for Ghana in the latest FIFA window for international games with Ghana beating Chad 5-0 in the first qualifier on March 21.

Ghana’s game against Madagascar kicks off at 19:00 GMT on Monday, March 21 in Morocco in a clash that has the top two ranked nations in Group I facing off.

Madagascar rank second in the group with 10 points and a goal difference of +6 while Ghana tops the group with 12 points from five games with a goal difference of +7 and Otto Addo believes that the game is like a small final.

“We need everyone to be on their toes. We don’t need 98%, we don’t need 99%, we need 100%. This [game against Madagascar] is like a small final and if we win this game, then we really going towards to qualify but it’s going to be very tough” Otto Addo said and added that
