Head coach of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, Otto Addo, has sounded a cautious call regarding Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign.

In a pre-game interview, the Black Stars head coach described Ghana’s game against Madagascar as a “small final” and went on to add that nobody should be thinking about Ghana making it to the next World Cup just yet. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Ghana plays against Madagascar on Monday, March 24 at 19:00 GMT in Morocco in a clash that pairs the top ranked nation in Group I (Ghana) against the second ranked nation in the group.

“We need to be really focused, nobody should take it easy, nobody should start thinking already about the World Cup because we need to take it step by step. It’s very important that we stay focused until we’ve made the job and now the whole focus is about Madagascar, we really want to win this match, we want to have a clean sheet” Otto Addo said.
