Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, believes that Kotoko’s upcoming Ghana Premier League game against Berekum Chelsea FC would be an “interesting” one.
He said this in pre-game interview ahead of the Porcupine Warriors’ game against Chelsea on Wednesday, April 2 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The game would serve as a prelude to the MTN FA Cup semifinal game between the two sides later in May with both teams making it past the quarterfinals played out this past weekend.
Highlighting the quality of Berekum Chelsea head coach Samuel Boadu, who is a two time FA Cup winner and a Ghana Premier League winner, and striker Stephen Amankonah, Dr. Ogum believes that the quality they bring makes the upcoming game an interesting one.
“To me, he [Samuel Boadu] is a fine gentleman and he’s a good coach and it will make the game very interesting. They have good players; you have Stephen Amankonah. I watched him play the last FA Cup quarters and he scored one of the best goals you can describe as a text book goal.”

“They have quality on the field and they have quality on the bench so it’s going to make the game very interesting” Ogum said.

Kotoko lead the standings with 42 points while Berekum Chelsea rank ninth with 32 points.
