Women’s FA Cup Final: Winning title won’t turn season into a success- Faith Ladies PRO

Public Relations Officer of Faith Ladies Football Club, Francis Mawutor, is adamant that the club’s season’s outlook won’t change even if the club ends up winning the Malta Guinness Women’s FA Cup title.

This year’s final takes place on Sunday, May 18 at the University of Ghana Stadium with Faith Ladies taking on Jonina Ladies.

In an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, Francis Mawutor stated that his club isn’t taking this weekend’s game for granted but added that winning the title won’t change how he describes the campaign after Faith Ladies got relegated from the Women’s Premier Division. “I can’t say so because for us we were a Premier team…as a Premier team, if you are unable to maintain your position in the Premier League and get relegated, for me that is not what I wish.”

“I wanted us to maintain our spot in the Premier League and perhaps win the FA Cup. For me that is a huge blow” Mawutor said.”
