Atalanta Football Club manager Gianpiero Gasperini has described Ghana midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana’s scoring rate as “terrific” after the Black Stars player scored his second goal in as many games.

Sulemana scored in the 47th minute in Atalanta’s 3-2 comeback win over Genoa; Sulemana’s stunning strike after controlling the ball on his chest before smashing the ball to the bottom right of the goal close to the edge of the penalty box was similar to his brilliant goal against AS Roma in the previous round.

Sulemana, who turns 22 on Thursday, May 22, has bagged his second goal in Atalanta colours in the past two games that had him start in the win at Genoa and Gapserini was full of praise for Sulemana while jokingly mocking his decision to not play him more minutes.

“Well Sulemana, let me just reiterate that his coach clearly didn’t have a clue for a whole year. His scoring rate is terrific even better than [Mateo] Retegui’s so hat’s off to him. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.”
