I’m excited to get back and continue the hard work- Antoine Semenyo on contract extension

Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has officially extended his contract with English Premier League side AFC Bournemouth.

The 25 year old has decided to extend his stay with the Cherries after signing a contract that ends in 2030. Semenyo joined Bournemouth in the January transfer window in the 2022-2023 season from EFL Championship side Bristol City.

The 2024-2025 season marked Semenyo’s campaign in the EPL as he scored 13 goals and added seven assists in 42 games in all competitions as Bournemouth finished ninth in the standings.

Speaking after penning the long term, the Black Stars player said he was excited to commit long term to the club stating,

“I’ve grown so much at the club, both on and off the pitch, and I’m really happy to have signed ahead of returning for pre-season. From the fans to the staff and my teammates, I can’t speak highly enough of the people around the club. It’s a great place to be and I’m excited to get back to Bournemouth and continue the hard work with the new season just around the corner.”

Prior to the announcement of the contract extension, Semenyo was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs.
