Didi Dramani will do well – Frank Nwokolo Nelson backs Hearts of Oak coach

Former board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Frank Nwonkolo Nelson, has thrown his support behind newly appointed Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani, expressing confidence in his ability to turn the club’s fortunes around.

Dramani, who was recently handed the top job at the Phobians, brings a wealth of experience to the position, having previously coached Asante Kotoko and served within the national team’s setup. His appointment has been met with cautious optimism among fans and pundits.

Speaking on Dramani’s potential, Nwonkolo Nelson urged supporters to give the coach time and backing to implement his philosophy and build a winning team.

Dramani is a coach that everybody knows. If you look at his CV, if you look at his height in football, you will understand that he understands his local football.

He’s been around for some time. He needs to put in more effort to be able to get the best from his boys when he gets a proper starting eleven.

But for Hearts, I think we need a game changer somebody who can hold the ball for us.
But at the end of the day, I think Didi Dramani will do well. Let’s just give him the opportunity. He’s a very nice coach, he’s a young gentleman, he can listen.

Dramani’s immediate task will be to steady the ship at Hearts of Oak after a turbulent run in the last 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season. The club’s hierarchy and fans will be hoping he can lead them back to domestic and continental glory.
