Hasaacas Ladies Football Club CEO, Evelyn Nsiah Asare Owusu, is adamant about Ghana’s National Women’s Football Team’s chances of beating Algeria in the quarterfinals of the 2024 CAF Women’s AFCON.
The football administrator delivered this bold statement ahead of Ghana’s quarterfinal game against the North Africans on Saturday, July 19 at 16:00 GMT in Morocco.
In an exclusive interview with Citi Sports where she praised Black Queens midfielder Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah for her excellent performances, Evelyn Asare Owusu, was sure Ghana would beat Algeria to progress to the semifinals.
“We should beating Algeria by 3-0…I see Black Queens playing in the finals because I see that we should be able to beat Algeria. I know for sure that we can beat Algeria” she said.

Four players in the Black Queens team in Morocco played for Hasaacas Ladies in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League including forwards Doris Boadwuaa and Evelyn Badu.
Ghana will play against the winner of the Morocco-Mali tie in the semifinals; Ghana drew 1-1 with Mali the group phase.

Playing against Algeria is Ghana’s first quarterfinal appearance at the Women’s AFCON since 2016.
