President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, is confident the best days for Ghana’s National Women’s Football Team are ahead.
He said this in his address to the Black Queens when the team the President after finishing third at the 2024 CAF Women’s AFCON in Morocco.
Ghana produced its best finish at the continental championship since 2016 by beating South Africa on penalties to win the bronze medal game.
Vice President of Ghana, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Sports Minister Kofi Adams and members of the Ghana Football Association were present at the event when President Mahama stated,

“All is not lost yet, your best days are still ahead of you, there are many other games to play and I am sure that this is an experience that you will take as part of the conditioning to rise to higher heights and so we are all going to support you.”
