GFA President Kurt Okraku has revealed that each Ghana Premier League club will receive GHS 1 million ahead of the new season, thanks to a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the financial foundation of domestic football.

Beyond the upfront funding, clubs will also earn performance-based rewards depending on their final positions on the league table. This structure is designed to foster healthy competition and motivate teams to aim higher.

The initiative is part of a broader agenda to enhance the economic viability of the league, attract further sponsorships, and reduce player attrition by offering more stability at home.

President Okraku emphasized that the move will help minimize the exodus of local talent and make the league a more attractive destination for foreign players.
