In his fourth appearance in an Italian Serie A game for Atalanta, Ghana’s Kamaldeen Sulemana, bagged a pair of firsts since joining the club from English side Southampton.

Sulemana scored his first goal and registered his first assist in an Atalanta shirt as the club beat Torino 3-0. The Black Stars player’s scuffed shot had enough power and direction away from the Torino goalkeeper to roll the ballinto the net to give Atalanta a 2-0 lead.

Kamaldeen turned provider later in the first half as his cross led to an easy tap in finish for Montenegrin striker Nikola Krstovic and his performance in 87 minutes on the pitch drew praise from Atalanta head coach Ivan Juric.

“They [Kamaldeen and Krstovic] who came in super motivated and Kamaldeen played a great game today both technically in terms of speed and quality but also in the defensive phase which works very well” Juric said to the club’s media.

Sulemana didn’t feature in Atalanta’s 4-0 loss to defending UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain in midweek.
