A Dream Come True- Ousmane Dembele after winning 2025 Ballon D’Or

Paris Saint-Germain winger Ousmane Dembele was named the winner of the 2025 Men’s Ballon D’Or Award for the first time in his career.

The France international was rewarded for his brilliant campaign in the 2024-2025 season that had him register 33 goals and 15 assists in 49 appearances in all competitions.

Dembele’s brilliant form got PSG to win the French Ligue 1, French Cup, UEFA Champions League, French Super Cup and UEFA Super Cup.

Reacting to the win, the former Barcelona player was grateful to win one of football’s most prestigious awards stating,

“So much joy, pride and emotion. A dream come true. Thank you to everyone who has always supported me throughout this journey” Dembele wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) page.

The 2025 Ballon D’Or ceremony had Aitana Bonmati named as the winner of the female category for the third time while Bonmati’s FC Barcelona teammate Vicky Lopez was named the young female footballer of the year.

FC Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal won the Kopa Award- the young men’s footballer of the year.
