Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed that there are discussions to get British heavyweight fighters Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury to fight in Ghana.
The head of Matchroom Boxing made this known in an interview on Link Up TV Lorem that was captured in the documentary, The Greatest Showmen, which is a boxing documentary on Netflix.
The renowned boxing promoter who has been by Joshua’s side for several years added that a bout involving Joshua and Fury is the biggest fight that people want to see before both boxers leave their prime years.
However, the bout is likely to be staged in Ghana, Hearn confessed by stating, “I think he’s going to have one fight in January or February and we look to do that in Ghana. I think it will be unbelievable for him [Anthony Joshua] to fight in Africa. It will be amazing and then we want Fury.”

Joshua recently visited Ghana and watched former British boxer Amir Khan put together a series of bouts at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Ghana’s capital, Accra earlier this year.

Despite several discussions over the years, Fury and Joshua are still yet to fight.
