The weather conditions for C.A.R. Match will be an advantage for us- Black Stars Head Coach

Head coach of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars, Otto Addo believes that the weather conditions for the team’s game against Central African Republic (C.A.R.) would be to its advantage.

Ghana takes on C.A.R. in its penultimate 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Wednesday, October 8 at 16:00 GMT in Mekness, Morocco.

The temperature projected at the kick off time is 28 degrees Celsius and Otto Addo believes that the cooler weather conditions will aid the Black Stars players adapt easily.

He said this in an interview with GFA media ahead of the game that had him express his happiness over the return of Alidu Seidu and Fatawu Issahaku from injury. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“I am happy that we don’t play in the afternoon.”

“It’s more going late into the evening so it’s good and this is truly and advantage for us and easier for our players to adapt” Otto Addo said.

Ghana have played against Chad and Mali prior in hot conditions where the temperatures checked in at 35 degrees Celsius. A big win over C.A.R. qualifies Ghana to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
