Amazulu FC goalkeeper Richard Ofori has praised Black Stars head coach Otto Addo and believes Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team will be fine under the German-born Ghanaian trainer.

Ofori, who played with the Black Stars at the 2023 AFCON, said this according to South African media outlet IDiskiTimes in the wake of Ghana’s qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana topped Group I to qualify automatically to next year’s World Cup; the upcoming World Cup is Ghana’s fifth appearance at the tournament.

While acknowledging his readiness to return to the Black Stars, Richard Ofori, spoke highly of Otto Addo who has made history as the first coach to lead Ghana to the World Cup twice.

“Yeah I’m still playing. So I’m working hard in my team to help my team in the league, and then the rest will take over.”

“He-Otto Addo- hasn’t abandoned any player… He’s a good man, and I know everything will be fine and everything will go well” Ofori said.
