Aduana Stars head coach Aristica Cioba says his side will not allow Medeama SC to pick up any points when the two sides face off in their Ghana Premier League Matchday 9 encounter.
The Ogya Boys have rediscovered their form after a shaky start to the season, going four games unbeaten, and Cioba insists they are ready to protect their home turf in Dormaa.
Speaking ahead of the top-of-the-table clash, with only a point separating the two sides, Cioba assured fans he won’t disappoint them.
I respect the Medeama team ; it’s a good team. Every season they are fighting for the championship,” Cioba said. They have very good players and a good coach. But here in Dormaa, at Aduana, I don’t give any team the chance to come and collect points.

The Romanian coach praised his players’ mentality, saying they understand the importance of fighting for every ball on the pitch.
“The mentality of the players now is the same ; fight, and if possible, die on the pitch to avoid losing the game,” he added. “The players need to understand this situation.
Cioba also reflected on the long-standing rivalry between Aduana Stars and Medeama, noting that their battles are always intense both home and away.

Many times, Aduana Stars and Medeama are fighting every season, home and away it’s the same. But me, as the coach here in Dormaa, I like fighting too much. I don’t give points to any opponent.
Aduana Stars currently sit among the top sides in the Premier League and will be aiming to extend their unbeaten run when they host the defending champions this weekend.
