The Ministry of Sports and Recreation has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Ghanaian President of the African Paralympic Committee (AfPC), Samson Deen, for his outstanding leadership and contribution to Africa’s transformative journey in para-sports.
The Ministry proudly commends the AfPC for the successful hosting of the 2025 AfPC General Assembly, held on November 8–9, 2025, at the Marriott Hotel in Accra, Ghana.
This year’s Assembly brought together delegates from 41 member nations, marking a historic milestone for Africa’s Paralympic movement.
A key highlight of the event was the election of a new Executive Board, led by President Samson Deen, a distinguished Ghanaian whose visionary leadership continues to enhance Ghana’s profile on the global stage.
The Ministry applauds President Deen for once again earning the confidence of the continent and for positioning Ghana as a symbol of inclusion, excellence, and transformational leadership in para-sports. His re-election stands as a national achievement, reflecting Ghana’s growing influence in international sports governance.
The Ministry also extends appreciation to all delegates, partners, and stakeholders whose collaboration contributed to a successful and impactful Assembly.
Ghana remains committed to strengthening its partnership with the AfPC, supporting Accra’s role as the Permanent Continental Headquarters, and promoting inclusive sports development across Africa.
