Head coach of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars, Otto Addo has stated that his team has the strength to beat Japan.
The Black Stars take on Japan in an international friendly game in Japan on Friday, November 14 at 10:00 GMT. The game forms part of preparations for either country for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Japan beat Brazil 3-2 ahead of this friendly game while Ghana is scheduled to take on South Korea on Tuesday, November 18 in another friendly.
Speaking ahead of the clash against Japan, Otto Addo talked about his belief in his team’s strength to beat the host nation saying,
“It will be difficult for us but I know we also have the strength to also beat Japan. We studied them well and…it’s going to be a tight match. We have to fight with the time difference.”

Ghana’s qualification to next year’s World Cup marks the fifth time in six straight editions the Black Stars will compete in the grand tournament.
