Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says he wishes for England to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup while sharing his thoughts on next year’s event following the draw to determine the schedule for the group stage.

Next year’s World Cup will be held in the United States of America, Mexico and Canada and while reflecting on his time competing and dealing with the heat in the USA during the 1994 World Cup, Guardiola shared his desire for England to win the World Cup.

“Some parts of the [United] States, in Mexico, it will happen in summertime, it’s hot. I would like England to be there [to win the World Cup].”
