Liverpool FC head coach Arne Slot inadvertently jabbed forward Mohamed Salah while praising his team’s defensive output in a hard fought win over Inter Milan.
Liverpool beat Inter Milan 1-0 at the San Siro in the UEFA Champions League with Dominik Soboszlai scoring the winner in the 88th minute via a converted penalty kick.
The game marked the fourth time in a row Liverpool played without talisman Mo Salah in the starting lineup and in the wake of his explosive interview where he slammed the team for treating him poorly in recent weeks, the Egyptian wasn’t included in the squad that travelled to Italy.
Speaking to Amazon prime after securing the important win, Slot pointed to the team’s defensive performance as the key.

“The midfield is always helping the defence a lot but there was a lot of commitment from the players. We pressed higher in the second half. We decided to keep a plus one in the back.”

“All 11 players came behind the ball to try and make sure we didn’t concede. Overall, a good performance from us.”
