The Black Galaxies squad for an international friendly game against South Africa in Gauteng on December 16 has been announced.

The 20-man squad for the game the South Africans are using as a pre-AFCON warm up was put together by Black Galaxies head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle.

Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team exclusively for Ghana-based players, the Black Galaxies, have five Medeama SC players in the squad with the likes of Swedru All Blacks having defender Abdul Aziz and forward Rudolf Mensah named in the squad.

However, there was no player from Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC in the squad despite the stand out performances from the likes of winger Peter Amidu Acquah and midfielder Hubert “Vitinha” Gyau.

Both players have excelled despite Kotoko struggling for consistency as the Porcupine Warriors have just a win in its last five games.

Ghana failed to qualify to the 2025 AFCON that commences on December 21 in Morocco but South Africa will compete in the tournament and have been drawn in Group B with Angola, Egypt and Zimbabwe.
