We are convinced Jonas Adjetey will strengthen our team- Wolfsburg Sporting Director

Black Stars defender Jonas Adjetey is officially a player of German club VFL Wolfsburg after penning a four and a half year contract.

Prior to joining Wolfsburg, the 22 year old 6 foot 2 inch defender played for Swiss side FC Basel and recently competed in the Europa League Conference for the team.

Speaking after joining the club, Adjetey shared how proud he was to make it to one of the best leagues in the world. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Upon signing Adjetey, Wolfsburg Sporting Director Pirmin Schwegler was confident in the Black Stars defender’s ability to excel with the team by stating,

“At Basel, he proved himself both in the league and internationally over the past three and a half years.”

“We have high hopes for Jonas [Adjetey] and are convinced that he will strengthen our team immediately.”

Adjetey joins Wolfsburg at a time where the club ranks 14th in the 18 team league Bundesliga standings and have conceded 42 goals in 20 league games.
